Easy Entertainment

Our drive from Kansas City to Chicago went really well. Nate talked, slept, and stared out the back window the whole way there. We stopped once for gas, and once for Nathan. We didn't have to stop for Nate once, he traveled surprisingly well. We made it to Malad and to Pocatello to see family and the graduation. I still can't believe they graduated and that my dad only has one year left. Time flies. Well, when me made it back to Chicago at 7:40 pm we found out that we had a flat tire! So what was supposed to be a 20 to 30 minute took us about 2 1/2 hours. It was great!! But, we made it, woo hoo!!

Since we have been here we have been just hanging out. The other day I let Nathan play with a pop can and he loved it. He played for about an hour. It is amazing that he will play forever with a random object but with his own toys for only 10 minutes! Oh well. We also went swimming for they first time. He was laughing and smiling for part of the time, and other times just looked confused.

I like it here, it is nice cause there are other people that stay home. I do a lot with Emily Jones, Trevor Jone's wife (he's from Malad). It is nice not to be alone all the time. Nathan works really hard. He leaves to go to work at 11am so we have him home for the mornings. He has sold and serviced about 34 accounts. He likes his job, and comes home everyday with new crazy stories.

We talked to Spencer on Mothers Day he sounded really great! It was good to talk to him. He had some funny stories to tell. Man i love that kid!!

Leaving Kansas

It is our last day here! We are driving to Chicago early tomorrow morning and then flying to SLC and off to Pocatello for the graduations!! WOOHOO CONGRADUTATIONS JENNIFER AND RITA!! WE LOVE YOU AND YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!! Anyways then we fly to our new home in Chicago on sunday. But, here are some things that we did...that we acctually got pictures of... in Kansas City! NO, these pictures are not blurry that is just how bad it was raining! That was the biggest hail we saw but on the news it said that some places had golf ball size hail or even bigger, i was hoping we could see that but we didn't. This wasn't even that day that we had the tornado warning, the weather was worse that day but i didn't getout my camera cause i was freaking out.

Then we went to Liberty, MO and saw the RLDS church, and their temple they we pretty interesting. They have tours through their temple but they weren't open on sundays so we just walked around the outside and on the roof through the gardens. At least that is what it said but there was just a pathway and grass no flowers. Across the street from the temple was a LDS Visitors Center and we went through it and saw the Joseph Smith Movie. It was really good!

The temple was in Independence. But our main purpose for going to Liberty was to see Liberty Jail. It was really neat. Sorry that is the only picture with us in it so i guess it will have to do.

Then for our last get together with some of the guys on monday we all went out to eat at Bucca Di Beppo, it is an italian resturant and it has really really good food. Just out side of the resturant there was a hog statue and of couse all of the guys had to get on and ride it!!

And that's what we did in Kansas while we were here!!

TORNADO

ON MAY 1ST WE HAD A TORNADO WARNING!! THE SIRENS WERE ALL GOING OFF, IT WAS RAINING, HAILING, THUNDERING, AND LIGHTENING!! (sorry if they are spelled wrong!) IT WAS QUITE SCARRY, THEY DON'T HAVE TORNADOES IN IDAHO. WELL, THE STORM WAS HEADED RIGHT TOWARDS US GOING 40 MPH AND ON THE NEWS IT WAS SHOWING US THAT THE CLOUDS WERE STARTING TO ROTATE AND CIRCLE. ABOUT 25-30 MILES FROM US THE STORM ALL OF THE SUDDEN STARTED HEADING NORTHEAST INSTEAD OF JUST NORTH (lucky us)! THEN AFTER IT HAD TRAVELED ABOUT 25-35 MILES (not in our direction anymore) THE TORNADO TOUCHED AND YA IF IT WOULDN'T HAVE CHANGED COURSE IT WOULD HAVE HIT US OR BEEN PRETTY DARN CLOSE!! AAAAAHHHHHHH! YA I WAS FREAKING OUT BUT HEY I AM ALIVE!!

Anyways, today i took some pictures of Nate in his new clothes (okay, okay, i got them at the baby shower but this is the first time he has been able to wear them.) I think he looks pretty good. They are his 6-9 month clothes! The bottoms are supposed to be shorts, they kindof look like capris. He generally can fit into tops a month or two early but the bottoms are generally marked right! This last one Nate was playing with my phone and took it himself .
Today we are just going to get what we can packed cause we are leaving to LaReta(mom-in-law) and Jennifers (sister) graduation and then we are heading up to Chicago!! I am pretty excited to see everyone!
